The Mapping of the Mozambican Diaspora was announced by His Excellency Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic, on December 18, 2019 at the Ceremony of Presentation of Greetings by the Presidents of Associations and Members of the Mozambican Community Abroad and is inscribed in the Quinquennial Plan of the Government (2020-2024).
With the advent of COVID-19, the first phase of mapping had to be stopped. Thus, for this second phase, a technological platform was developed that will allow for the accurate and secure capture and treatment of the data entered.
We invite all our compatriots residing abroad to join this government initiative, which aims to have useful information to create conditions, with a view to the increasing involvement of the diaspora in the development of Mozambique, as well as improving conditions compliance with the Government's responsibilities.
With the Diaspora Mapping, conditions will be created for the elaboration of the National Diaspora Policy, which will be the instrument through which the relationship between the Diaspora and the Country will be regulated.
The process is coordinated and supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, through the National Institute for Mozambican Communities Abroad-INACE. In case of doubts, contact the Diplomatic and Consular Mission in the country where you are located or INACE, through email suporte.cidadao@inace.gov.mz .
Thank you very much
